School of Mathematics facilities

The Maths kitchen/common room is in room 5214. It is available to Mathematics staff, postgraduate students, BioSS staff and visitors. Besides lunch time, the common room can be used for casual meetings, School gatherings, as well as social gatherings for seminars and workshops, although the room cannot be booked specifically for this purpose. It is advised that for larger events the School Administrator be informed.

The kitchen is equipped with a hot water boiler, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge/freezer. Please remember to clean up after yourself. The fridge should be emptied of any leftovers to avoid over filling and hygiene issues.

To join the milk club please see Chris Pooley.

To join the coffee club see Toby Bailey.

A lockable cupboard in the common room is used for supplies for small events. Staff can find cups, stirrers, individual portions of coffee, tea, milk and sugar and biscuits. Staff can collect the key for the cupboard from the School Operations Office (5319) which needs to be returned after use. Any leftovers need to be put back in the cupboard by the member of staff in charge of the event.
